In The New Arboreal, I investigate co-evolution and symbiosis. This exhibition features an installation consisting of root and mycelial systems created with felting and picture wire intermingled with sheets of handmade paper and paper sculptures depicting tree branches, lichens, and fungi. I work with texture, suspension, cast shadows, and multiple planes to create the immersive environments of the forest floor and the subterranean realm beneath it.
